2019 COMPOSERS COMPETITION WINNERS- RESULTS
We gratefully appreciate everyone who entered our competitions. Please note that this round of entries, even more than any other, were examples of exceptional work. In the final round of competition, it was very difficult for the committee to select the winners, hence the delay in announcing results. We were also incredibly encouraged to receive so many excellent works from young composers, especially those in the Pre-College division! Since our finalists demonstrated such intriguing and excellent work, we have decided the recognize the main competition finalists below. Please accept our congratulations for producing beautiful music.
If anyone is interested we always have general suggestions for a successful submission. TME finds that even established composers might consider adjustments to notation and other details to make pieces more playable and save precious rehearsal time. Feel free to contact us by email if you have questions. We regret that we are not usually able to give specific feedback, but patterns do emerge and we are happy to share those observations.

Our deepest thanks to all who entered.
We truly had many, many strong pieces to consider and all of the judges remarked on the difficulty of making decisions because of the high quality of submissions. Even though your piece may not have won this year, please consider entering again in the future. We frequently perform "non-winning" pieces that have previously been entered in our composers' competition.
